A major win for the "Danube Clean-Up" near Kagraner Brücke: 796 kilograms of waste were successfully recovered from the Alte Donau.

At the end of April, the association DIVEBLUE, with the active support of the property developer Glorit, once again sent a powerful message for environmental protection. During the "Danube Clean-Up" in the area of the Kagraner Brücke and Kagranersteg, a dedicated team of numerous divers and shore-side volunteers cleared a staggering 796 kilograms of waste from the waters of the Alte Donau.

The hard work put in both underwater and along the riverbanks was an impressive display of what collective action can achieve. In addition to general litter, the team also recovered old, damaged floats from a jetty. All materials were subsequently sorted and disposed of professionally.

A Project Close to the Heart

The premium developer Glorit supports the initiative not only financially - one of their own, Harald Metzger, has been a long-standing member of DIVEBLUE and serves as a co-organizer of these clean-up events.

"The Alte Donau is an urban recreational paradise that is truly unique on an international scale. To ensure it stays that way for future generations, environmental initiatives like this one - driven by the passion of our colleague - are a matter very close to our hearts," says Thomas Hammerschmied, Head of Marketing at Glorit.

A special thank you goes out to all participants and sponsors who made this clean-up possible.
