How does a ceiling cooling system work?

When temperatures exceed 30 degrees, it is sometimes difficult to keep a cool head. However, this is not the case with a modern ceiling cooling system, which offers pleasant advantages over air conditioning systems. We explain quickly and simply how ceiling cooling ensures cosy, comfortable temperatures.

The summer heat is almost unbearable and there are already heated discussions in the family council about buying fans or air conditioning. But for many people, these solutions are not really convincing, as cold draughts often cause headaches and neck pain as well as annoying colds in midsummer. The little-known alternative to sweating in summer and headaches in air-conditioned rooms is called: ceiling cooling.

This is how a ceiling cooling system works

With a ceiling cooling system, a built-in pipe system through which cold liquids flow cools the ceiling. The cold air sinks downwards (convection) and mixes with the rising heat that our bodies constantly radiate. This creates a particularly pleasant, cosy room climate.

The special thing about this form of so-called building component activation is that the temperatures are perceived as particularly natural. Cool draughts, which would otherwise blow around our ears with air conditioning systems and fans, do not exist with ceiling cooling.

The exchange between cold, descending ceiling air and rising body heat ensures perfect comfort temperatures with ceiling cooling.
