Groundbreaking ceremony for exclusive residential project on the Old Danube

This week marked the ceremonial groundbreaking of the new residential project Arminenstraße 4A–8 in Vienna’s 22nd district. Just a two-minute walk from the idyllic Old Danube, an exclusive ensemble of 13 apartments is being created in one of Donaustadt’s most sought-after locations.

The high-quality apartments range from two to five rooms and offer living spaces between 56 and 160 square meters. Each unit features a private outdoor area – whether a balcony, terrace, or private garden – and impresses with premium finishes and a modern, energy-efficient residential concept.

A special focus has been placed on sustainability: a heat pump, photovoltaic system, and energy-efficient ceiling cooling ensure a pleasant indoor climate while minimizing energy consumption. Naturally, the project also includes an underground garage and spacious cellar compartments.

“There are only a few new construction projects left in the Old Danube area. That’s why it’s all the more important that we continue to create high-quality living spaces in prime locations. Especially at a time when much is being said about the decline in new housing developments, it sends a strong signal that we, as a developer, continue to invest and build,”
explains Patrick Kloihofer, Managing Director of Glorit.

Located just 200 meters from the Lower Old Danube, the site boasts ideal transport connections: the U1 and U2 subway lines, as well as several tram and bus routes, are quickly accessible. The apartments will be delivered turnkey, with completion scheduled for 2026.
